John A. Nolan, M.D., F.A.C.C.
John
A. Nolan, M.D., joined the Ellis Medicine Board of
Trustees in March 2009. Dr. Nolan is a longtime leader
at Ellis Medicine. He is the hospital's Chief of
Staff-elect, Chair of the Department of Cardiac
Sciences, and Chief of the Division of Cardiology.
Previously he served as Medical Director of the Ellis
Medicine Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory from 1984 to
1993. He is also a trustee emeritus of The Foundation
for Ellis Medicine's Board of Trustees and a generous
contributor to the Foundation.
Dr. Nolan is a founding member and President of
Cardiology Associates of Schenectady, a role he has
served in since the practices inception in 1990.
Cardiology Associates is a prominent group of 23
cardiologists, with five offices, that provides
comprehensive cardiac care to patients in Schenectady,
Montgomery, Fulton and Saratoga counties. The expertise
of Dr. Nolan and his associates is a key reason why
Ellis Medicine is nationally recognized for excellence
in cardiac care.
Dr. Nolan earned his medical degree from Albany Medical
College where he graduated in the top 10% of his class
and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical
Society. He completed an internal medicine internship
and residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital and
completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Albany Medical
College. He is board certified in cardiology and
internal medicine and he is a Fellow of the American
College of Cardiology and its New York State chapter.
Dr. Nolan is also a member of the Medical Society of the
County of Schenectady.
