Gynecologic Surgery
Most gynecologic (GYN) surgery is performed at Bellevue Woman’s Center, the
centralized location for Ellis Medicine’s women’s health services.
At Bellevue Woman’s Center, we understand that women are different from men
and require specialized care. Women deserve a dedicated place like Bellevue to
come to for their health needs, particularly when in need of surgery. With more
than 3,000 surgical procedures performed each year, Bellevue Woman's Center
caters to the specialized surgical needs of every woman and provides an
environment that promotes healing and comfort.
The entire Surgical Services Unit is staffed with registered nurses who have
extensive experience in caring for women with medical and surgical needs,
especially in the area of gynecology.
Our Ambulatory Surgery Unit is where our compassionate staff tends to our
patients' needs before and after their outpatient surgical procedure. Inpatient
surgical patients are sent to the appropriate unit for extended care following
their surgery.
Surgeons at Bellevue Woman’s Center perform gynecologic procedures and
surgeries to further evaluate or treat a range of women’s health conditions. Our
surgeons often utilize minimally-invasive procedures that help speed recovery
and reduce scarring. They have access to advanced diagnostic technology and work
closely with board-certified radiologists.
